I love camping except for one inconvenience— going to the bathroom. I hate going out back. I can handle anything else but that. The problem got to be such an inconvenience that I decided I didn’t want to go camping any longer without a proper toilet. So I started looking into outdoor toilets. Here’s my take on outdoor toilets from the basic to the most advanced.
Quick Set Portable Toilet
This works well when you’re in a bind. You can use it for a couple of camp trips as it is quite durable, but it’s only a temporary solution. It’s made from 100% recyclable three-ply corrugated cardboard. It supports up to 300 pounds and has a special wax coating to repel moisture. It comes with a waste bag that is bio-degradable and has an odor-fighting powder that clumps when mixed with liquids.
Cleanwaste Go Anywhere Complete Portable Toilet System
This is an easy-to-carry toilet system. It includes a portable toilet and privacy shelter and comes with waste bags and a backpack. Of course, it’s a little basic, but if you need a toilet that is easy to tote and offers you a bit of privacy too, then this works well.
Light Gray Durable 5-Gal Portable Camping Sanitation Toilet
This toilet is good for a camp park— it’s almost as if you have a real bathroom here. This toilet is sturdy and durable and offers a 5-gallon waste tank. Better still, it has a dual spray jet for flushing the toilet. This dual spray offers a cleaner option and the deeper bowl offers better feminine comfort. This is the option I like best when it comes to outdoor camp toilets.
Dometic Tan Portable Toilet
This is another 5-gallon flushing option. What I really like about this portable toilet is its finish. It looks new even after years of use. It also has an adult-size seat and lid for added safety. The latches lock firmly to the tank and it has pressurized water for flushing. This makes keeping it clean a lot easier.
